Kabir
is now shooting TANMAN.COM on various sites in
Bombay, his base in India.
The most recent filming is done this month at the Asian Heart Institute
and Research Center, the Bandra Kurla Complex, Rasool Chawl Compound
Mahalaxmi, and on Mudh Island. Shooting at the heart institute,
a leading facility in its field of cardiac treatment, began right
after it was officially opened by Shri Susheel Kumar Shinde, Chief
Minister of Maharashtra state, on February 4, 2003. According to
press reports, the institute’s leaders loved the theme of
TANMAN.COM, an unusual and modern film described
as a “love story with a spiritual touch.” The story
is about life issues that concern us all, such as the need, especially
now, to strike a balance between spiritual and material life. The
exact release date of TANMAN.COM has not been named
yet, but shooting makes good progress and will soon be over. The

Adam,
Kabir's son from his marriage to Susan Humphreys, grew up with his
mother in Los Angeles and Colorado. Now a handsome young man, Adam
has built a successful career as a model in India, like his father
before him. Among other things, he has modelling for a jeans brand.
Adam has no lack of female admirers wherever he goes - his wonderful
blue eyes are especially remarkable - but "unfortunately"
he already has a steady girlfriend, 25-year-old singer and model
Nisha Harlale. The couple live together. With such an illustrious
father, it was only a matter of time before Adam would find his
own way to Bollywood. Just a few days ago, Adam signed his first
two movie contracts. Who knows, it might be the beginning of another
great Bedi career... If Adam also inherited his dad's charm and
charisma, he will take the world by storm! Adam's movie debut is
Wonderful Moments, directed by Shyam Gupta. Rajesh Sheth will be
producing the film. Adam's second movie is director Vivek Agnihotri's
True Story, an English film which is based upon the Hollywood movie
Traffic and Blow. |

Like his
fellow stars in the movie, Kabir has been working hard to promote
THE HERO, which is due to be released in India
in a few weeks - some sources say on April 10, others on April 11.
Kabir has given another interview in Bombay, which was published
just a few hours ago.
He spoke about the movie, his plans for the future and other projects
he is working on. Kabir is convinced that the tense action movie
THE HERO will help Bollywood recover from its current
malaise.
"Every crisis turns into an opportunity," Kabir said.
"Soon we will see something good come up."
Kabir also spoke about his part in THE HERO as
a Kashmiri businessman, who believes in the region's freedom struggle.
He said he is "hopeful and confident" about the movie
and spoke highly of the stunt work of actor Sunny Deol.
As reported by kabir-bedi.com in December 2002, Kabir and the other
stars filmed some scenes in Switzerland, where they were followed
and interviewed by Swiss TV. Sunny Deol insisted on doing his own
stunts in the biting cold on the Jungfraujoch mountain even though
stand-ins were available. As Kabir said, the temperature was minus
15 degrees Celsius - a rude shock for a Bombayite. Could that be
why he was looking a little grim on the Swiss TV news show?
Kabir also said he will be staying in India for longer this time.
"I cannot stick in one place for too long," said globetrotter
Kabir, who has worked and lived in the USA, Italy and Britain. But
India has always been home to him, as he has said in many other
interviews. "Bollywood has been very good to me," he said. |

film production company, Dimension 70, which also successfully produced
many commercials. Congratulations Kabir! |

Kabir
and his wife Nikki are among the guests at the farewell dinner for
the director of the Nehru Centre in London. In the three years that
he ran the centre, author, playwright, actor, producer and director
Girish Karnad turned it into a major focal point of Indian culture
in London. The event, hosted by Indian High Commissioner (Ambassador)
Ronen Sen, is attended by author Vikram Seth, BBC veteran journalist
Sir Mark Tully, and film producer Shekar Kapoor, who reads one of
Karnad's favourite poems.
Karnad, who is returning to the southern city of Bangalore, is one
of Kabir's oldest associates. More than 25 years ago, Karnad wrote
the hugely successful play Tughlaq, which was the launch pad of
Kabir's stage and cinema career. |
