Kites: Main Hoon Na's Farah Khan makes Hrithik Roshan dance January 6, 2009
It's a working birthday for choreographer Farah Khan on January 9, 2009, as she supervises a major dance number for Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, the lead actors in Kites.
A day later, it's hard work for birthday boy Hrithik Roshan as he rehearses the sequence with Farah Khan at their Mumbai studio. Barbara Mori is there already, together with her mother and sister.
According to Farah, Rajesh Roshan's song will be played in the background only, with no lip sync. The sensual, romantic tune is no ordinary Bollywood item number, but is an integral part of the storyline.
Other dance acts in Kites were choreographed by director Anurag Basu.

Kabir had a major part in Main Hoon Na, the 2004 film directed by Farah Khan in which he played Indian Army commander-in-chief General Amar Singh Bakshi.
Farah Khan also took care of the choreography in Kabir's Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002).

She worked with Kites lead Hrithik Roshan in Om Shanti Om (2007, also directed by Farah Khan), Krrish (2006), Koi... Mil Gaya (2003), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Fiza (2000) and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000, Hrithik Roshan's big screen debut).

Farah also wrote the dance scenes in many Shahrukh Khan blockbusters, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Duplicate (1998), Dil Se (1998), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Asoka (2001), Paheli (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) and Don (2006).

Among her other big successes are Dil Chahta Hai (2001, with Aamir Khan), Monsoon Wedding (2001), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004, with Akshay Kumar), Marigold (2007, with Salman Khan).

Farah Khan also did the choreography for Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Bombay Dreams, a smash hit in London's West End.

Kites: No Bollywood movie without a wedding! January 2, 2009
... and trust Kabir to be in it!
Kabir has a wonderful scene in the inevitable wedding reception in Kites, shot in the autumn of 2008 at a large, luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
Kabir plays Bob, a Las Vegas casino owner, while Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori are lovers who have something of a language problem.
Director Anurag Basu's Kites will go into post-production in spring for global release in the summer of 2009.
