in the leading role!

- Practising Buddhist Kabir once
had, with some others, an audience in Rome with the Pope.
- Many years ago, Rekha - megastar
of the Indian cinema - used to live in the same apartment
as Kabir, near the beach in
West-Bombay. There were often partys.
- In England Kabir travels
in his much-loved vintage black Mercedes, at home in Bombay
he has a (modern) off-white
chauffeur-driven Mercedes.
- 1974 Indian national swimming
champion and Kabir's co-star in BEWAFAA (2005), Nafisa Ali,
became a model in the 1970s because "Kabir
Bedi told me I was good-looking". She went on to be
crowned as Miss India in 1976.
- Kabir's rented Southern Californian
home is situated at about 150 yards walking distance to the
Santa Monica beach.
The house is traditionally built in a mix of Victorian and old
California-style, with lots of wood and high ceilings.
The exterior is painted in vibriant blue and white colours.
He says in a 1994 interview that he loves strolling along the
Santa Monica oceanfront and using the walkways near the pier.

accept the offer of a German producer to play the well-known
vampire DRACULA - certainly his teeth were up to it - and there
would have been many leading ladies quite willing to be bitten

introduced Kabir to meditation at an early age.
He still considers meditation as a useful tool for his acting
profession as it "creates a very great awareness so that
you increase in sensitivity and observation."

with the Indian actress Parveen Babi which ended in 1977.

rather than buy it.
But - Kabir told me in October 2002, he and Nikki had just
bought their London home.
After his divorce (2005), Kabir continued to live there for
some time.
