| EXCLUSIVE Kabir Bedi will give his personal views on the week's news headlines on the BBC1 television programme, THE HEAVEN AND EARTH SHOW, on Sunday, June 12. The programme, described as a "topical magazine" with a religious outlook, is broadcast live from the BBC's Manchester studios at 10 am. Kabir said he will be "looking at the newspaper headlines that caught my eye of all the week and discuss that for about 10 minutes... It has a religious slant to it but I'm just doing the news coverage for them, so what are the stories that caught my eye, and it's also a way of promoting THE FAR PAVILIONS." Because the northern English city is several hours away from London, Kabir's TV appearance will involve some pretty frantic travelling right after the two Saturday performances of his West End musical THE FAR PAVILIONS on June 11. "I'll be sort of whisked off to Manchester after my shows on Saturday night, do the (BBC) show on Sunday morning, and get back to London" in time for the 3 pm Sunday matinee at the Shaftesbury Theatre, he said. Fortunately, "it's just a one-off thing," said a relieved Kabir. Also on the show will be British actress Joanna Lumley, talking about a recent charity trip to Bangladesh. Previous celebrity guests have included former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, singers Ray Charles and Petula Clark, and actors Art Malik, Leonard Nimoy, Christopher Lee, Sharon Gless and Kevin Costner.
