| EXCLUSIVE Kabir's son Adam travelled to London to see his dad appear in the West End musical, The Far Pavilions, and attend the Asian Power 100 ceremony presented by his father. Adam, who dropped by on a brief visit ahead of his big birthday party in Mumbai on September 10, said he really enjoyed the play. "Especially the choreography" was wonderful, Adam said, adding he was very impressed with the revolving stage set up for the show in London's Shaftesbury Theatre. He said it was a great shame the show is closing early on September 17, due to a sharp drop in visitor numbers in the wake of the July 7 terrorist attacks in London. Chatting with kabir-bedi.com during the Asian Power 100 ceremony, Adam said his acting career in Bombay is well on track, and that he enjoys getting advice from his dad and mentor. "I have never felt intimidated" despite having such a famous actor for a father, Adam said. At one point, Kabir even tried to discourage his son from following in his footsteps. "He wanted me to be sure" that acting was really his own choice of profession, Adam said. His current career plans include branching out into being a stuntman, although not in Bollywood, where safety standards are dangerously poor, he said. Stuntmen are asked to do their job without any opportunity to check out the scene for safety - like just where their motorbike will land in a jump across a river. "There's not even an ambulance on the set," an absolute must in the United States, he said. Adam is passionate about sports, including scuba diving and snowboarding, in both of which he is a qualified instructor. But does the former Colorado boy have much of an opportunity for snowboarding in Bombay? "Err... no!"
