New Sandokan adventures in RAI's third cartoon film SANDOKAN, THE TIGER OF MALAYSIA Italian state television channel RAI has produced a new cartoon film with stories about Emilio Salgari's cult hero Sandokan, entitled "Le Due Tigri" (The Two Tigers). Giuseppe Laganà directed the Rai Fiction production. The film is RAI's third Sandokan cartoon, and is aimed mainly at children, although it has gained a large fan audience among adults, too. The new adventures of Sandokan and his faithful tigrotti are set at the time when he has already conquered Marianna's heart and triumphed over the White Raja. Now Sandokan has to complete another dangerous mission which will take him to exotic places in the furthest reaches of the Asian continent. The TV premiere is planned for spring 2008 on the Rai Due station. - "Le due tigri" is one of RAI's contributions to the Romics festival and will be shown tomorrow, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Pavilion 10, Room E. The show is part of Midia, the first international animated film fair for media people in Rome. The 7th Romics Festival for Comic Strips and Animation is being held from October 4 to 7 at the Nuova Fiera in Rome.
