from the promotional text:
The show is based on an imaginary internet chat between an Italian
housewife and a man who goes by the nickname of Sandokan, who also
imagines himself to be living the life of Sandokan today.
This
part is played by Kabir, and the interchange
between the two develops into a wonderful, somewhat fantastical
and very touching relationship.
The show has humour, sensitivity and drama... it's magical.
Verdeluna,
his internet friend, is a woman like there are many, and like many
others she knows very well what it is like to love and to dream.
Forty-something
Verdeluna is divorced from her useless husband, and she has a son
and a daughter.
Of course, Verdeluna is her Internet
nick, because like Sandokan, she is an avid chatter. She turns
on her computer as the night falls, and goes "hunting" for
other nocturnal creatures like herself. Among the chatters, she
encounters Sandokan.
The real Sandokan?
That won't be easy to find
out...
Sandokan is romantic, almost too romantic and passionate.
He can be ironic and a true friend at the same time. But above
all, this virtual Sandokan is just as fascinating as the real Malaysian
pirate.
The two characters fill the romantic and fantastical love
story with real life. "It's also an erotic story," chuckles
Daniela Giordano, who plays Verdeluna.

Kabir's
'chat' is great fun.
This show
is a must-hear for all of Kabir's fans
who miss him as the "best
Sandokan ever". |

It's
almost as if Sandokan has come to life - his voice, his noble
character, his wisdom, his British humour, his throaty chuckle,
his delicate irony, it's all there!
But we never get to see how
much of that is Kabir, and how much is the Emilio Salgari character.
Many Kabir fans and many Sandokan fans will sit and swoon over
this voice that is beyond compare, and quietly dream their dreams! |

near-complete fusion of reality and fiction, of Kabir the
man and Sandokan the character, could encourage many a Sandokan
fan
to think Kabir only
ever played the swashbuckling pirate.
You could put

cover to cover, and it would be brilliant - but you'd still be
missing out on those eyes, those eyes... |
