| SUMMARY |
|
An international spy ring is looking for the formula of a nerve
gas being developed by a British chemical company.
They kidnap the daughter of programme director Professor Lavi, and find out the
lead scientist is a Moroccan, Tahar Id Bran (Kabir Bedi).
The terrorists then bribe Tahar's friend, Professor Anton,
to help them find the scientist who has recenly returned to
Morocco
after the death of his father, an old tribal chief.
The plot thickens when Tahar falls head over heels in love
with Italian actress Jana Anderson (Isabel Russinova) in a
hotel in Casablanca.
Anton's men find Tahar, kidnap him and take him into the desert.
Meanwhile, they decide to test the nerve gas by placing a bomb
on the Casablanca market. Tahar manages to escape and now has
to find the bomb in time to dismantle it, while Jana, frantically
looking for her lover, falls into Anton's hands.
Tahar arrives at the market, finds the bom, and puts it under
the terrorists' car... |

HIT!
yum! |
|
|
Dalila
Di Lazzaro is convincing in a minor role as a cynical terrorist
and kidnapper.
Critics
also
loved Stelvio
Cipriani's music.
Good guy Kabir roams the Moroccan desert, wearing an attractive
indigo blue turban, and rescues humanity from death and destruction.
Lots of action and controlled explosions! |

|
|
 |
MISS!
eek! |
|
|
The
film has been described as far-fetched and over the top.
The
plot is good but would have done better on TV, critics say.
(In
fact the film was shown on Italian TV for the first time in September
2000. A few repeats were broadcast since: please check the TV
archives section) |
